How to do it
- Play the three inversions following the TAB: 2nd inversion (frets 1-2), root position (frets 5-7) and 1st inversion (frets 9-10).
- In each shape locate the root (A), the minor 3rd (C) and the 5th (E): the minor 3rd is what makes it sound sad.
- Play A minor and then the same inversion of C major: only one note changes (the 3rd).
