Right-hand fingering
How to do it
- Right hand ascending: fingering 1-2-3-1-2-3-4-5; the thumb passes under finger 3 on F.
- Practise hands separately first, very slowly, watching the thumb crossing.
- Once clean, put hands together in parallel motion.
Variations
- Extend to 2 and 4 octaves.
- Play it in different rhythms: dotted, triplets, groups of four.
- Hands together a third or a sixth apart (instead of in unison).
- Once mastered, transpose to G, D, A and E major.
Tips
- Prepare the thumb by moving it toward its note before its turn arrives.
