How to do it
- Play middle C, leap an octave up and back, in steady rhythm.
- Move the whole arm and let the hand "land" relaxed.
- Memorise the distance: with practice, you will stop looking.
Variations
- Leap two octaves; then try other intervals (fifth, sixth).
- Chain ascending and descending leaps across the whole keyboard.
